I built and painted this kit for Brad Boland. I believe Jimmy Flintstone is the artist that made this exceptional nice kit. The Roth figure stands almost 9" tall and RF is a little over 5" tall. Very little cleanup was needed on any of the pieces.
I drilled two small holes in the base and epoxied two short pieces of coat hanger wire to support the figures. A matching hole was drilled in each figures to insert the wire from the base. The arms were attached in the same manner and glazing putty was used to smooth up the seams.
Everything was sprayed with a white enamel primer then brushed with acrylic paint in various colors. Next a Walnut oil base stain was used to bring up the low area details. Everything was then sprayed with a Matte Varnish to protect the color from handling. I used a gloss black acrylic for the shine on Roth's shoes, the stripes on his pants, and the band on his top hat.
I applied a clear nail polish to the eyes, lips, teeth, RF nose, and nails for the wet look. The finger and toenails even got a French Manicure with a white free edge.
My good Buddy ...Gary Pritchett ...made the little Rat Fink model box for me and I think it has found a new home with this remarkable piece of art.
I hope you like it…Weldon
